What led you to create First Insight Corporation?

My journey with First Insight began unexpectedly and was a leap of faith. Tired of working for others, I boldly decided in 1993 to quit my job without a clear plan. Armed with only $1,000 in my bank account, I embarked on a path that would forever change my life.

During my eye exam, where I filled out my patient intake form on a computer, the seed of an idea was planted. This experience led me to pivot the company towards creating the first Windows-based EHR and practice management software in the eye care industry.

How has First Insight stood tall while many eye care software competitors have come and gone?

I look back on First Insight’s journey over the past three decades with immense pride and gratitude. Starting a software company in the eye care industry was a unique endeavor, but we have survived and thrived.
