The First Insight Story

We like to think destiny had a hand in our history here at First Insight Corporation. Our Founder, President and CEO, Nitin Rai, was diagnosed with an eye condition called lattice degeneration. During a checkup with his optometrist, he was drawn to the doctor’s computerized patient tracking system.

A visionary, technologist, and entrepreneur, Nitin knew he could build a better optometry and ophthalmology software solution that would make patient care easier. With help from eye care experts across the country—and a whip-smart team of employees—that’s exactly what he did.

A History of Firsts

The First Insight story is punctuated by many firsts—milestones that have shaped who we are and the eye care solutions we create. We are grateful for the opportunities we’ve had and the relationships we’ve built as we keep looking forward. Our vision for better ophthalmology and optometry software is rooted in our history. October 2020

MaximEyes.com EHR software is first-ever live tested Health IT Module for the 21st Century Cures Update Edition.

June 2015

MaximEyes software is one of the first three EHRs to integrate with AOA MORE® Registry.

August 2013

First “eye care-only” software company to be listed on the 2014 ONC Certified HIT Product List.

June 2008

First practice management and EHR software company focused exclusively on the ophthalmic market to launch a true “end-to-end” ePrescribing solution through its integration with the DrFirst® award-winning Rcopia® ePrescribing technology.

June 2004

First practice management company to integrate with Eyefinity’s online service for VSP authorization and claim filing.

May 2002

First eye care software to release HIPAA-ready version for electronic claims.

September 2000

Sales Development Representative

Full-Time Position – Remote

Reports to: VP of Sales

Compensation: (OTE) is $65K ($45.5K Base + 19.5K Variable). The variable is based on performance with targets set quarterly.

Summary:

First Insight is seeking a results-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of success in qualifying leads and setting meetings for B2B accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Use prospecting strategies to reach out to new or existing First Insight customers who have the capacity and need to update/upgrade/add on their current system or version.
  • Identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer.
  • Determine the prospect’s interest in First Insight.
  • Schedule discovery meetings for sales representatives and prospects.
  • Achieve a target number of qualified prospects and new opportunities.
  • Respond to and qualify incoming inquiries as needed regarding interest in First Insight products.
  • Craft a great first impression to our prospects and customers by adding value during every customer touchpoint.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to share customer feedback.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates skills and abilities required for this position.
  • 1+ years of work experience in a Sales Development or Sales role.
  • A demonstrated track record of success.
  • Excellent phone, writing, and listening skills.
  • A propensity and willingness to gain a strong understanding of the industry and basic use cases/value propositions that our product offers.
  • High integrity and a team-first mentality.
  • Detail-oriented and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and independently in a fast-paced environment and motivated to achieve outstanding results.
