MaximEyes® SQL EHR Users Receive Maximum Stage 1 Meaningful Use EHR Incentive Payments from CMS

Hillsboro, OR (February 15, 2012) - First Insight® Corporation, developers of MaximEyes® SQL Certified EHR, announced today that three optometrists at Vision Quest Eye Care Center in Dover, DE have each qualified for their maximum Stage 1 EHR incentive payment of $18,000 from CMS, with two already receiving their checks and the third doctor receiving his $18,000 soon. This three-doctor practice has used MaximEyes software since 2005 and includes: Philip Gross, OD, Michele Haranin, OD, and Arkady Yatskevich, OD.

“To demonstrate meaningful use there was a significant amount of required information we had to capture from patients,” said Philip Gross, OD. “MaximEyes SQL’s built-in meaningful use tools helped with this daunting task by allowing us to audit our performance and capture the required information we needed to attest for meaningful use. In addition, our practice added the certified two-way e-prescribing module so our doctors can now send regulatory compliant e-prescriptions to pharmacies right from within MaximEyes. We are very impressed with e-prescribing as it prevents interactions and errors by transferring patient demographics, medication history, allergies, diagnosis codes, and prescribed medications from a MaximEyes exam record into the DrFirst® Rcopia®
e-prescribing site. All pending e-prescriptions, renewal requests and formulary information automatically displays from one convenient location.”

“MaximEyes SQL EHR incorporates Stage 1 meaningful use requirements directly into a MaximEyes workflow to improve office efficiencies and reduce redundant data entry requirements,” said Nitin Rai, president of First Insight Corporation. “As a leading EHR solutions partner for optometry and ophthalmology practices, our company is committed to supporting and guiding our customers to become meaningful users through exceptional service, training, education and support. We have helped many of our MaximEyes SQL EHR clients attest for meaningful use and many more will soon be receiving their incentive dollars from CMS.”

MaximEyes SQL EHR, version 1.1.0.0 and higher is 2011/2012 compliant and is certified as a “Complete EHR” by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), which supports Stage 1 meaningful use measures.
